31 Serbian and over 50 French companies from the construction, IT, and agriculture sectors participated in the Serbian-French business forum held in Paris at the Serbian House. The forum was organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the French business associations Medef International and Business France.
On behalf of the Serbian side, statements were made by Her Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of France, Ana Hrustanović, Mihailo Vesović, Director of the Sector for Strategic Analysis and Internationalization of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce
Her Excellency, Ana Hrustanović, said that Serbia and France are celebrating 185 years of diplomatic relations this year, and that Serbia has been a strategic partner of France since 2011. Hrustanović invited French companies to invest in Serbia, emphasizing that "Serbia is a dynamic market in the Western Balkans, attracting 80% of French investments in the region." She added that, just as in sports, our country can win "medals" through increased investment and cooperation with French partners.
Dragan Majkić, founder and CEO of ComData doo, as one of the representatives of the Serbian IT sector, emphasized at this event that one of ComData's priorities is to continue and expand business cooperation with business partners and countries that insist on quality, Industry 4.0 and new technologies, which stimulates the competitiveness and knowledge of European and Serbian companies on the international market. In this sense, cooperation with French companies, which was enabled through the Chamber of Commerce, is an exceptional form of support not only for Serbian but also for French partners.
Gérard Wolf, President of the Center for Sustainable City Development within Medef International, and Pierrik Bonard, Director of the Business France association, emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties with Serbia, especially in the field of green transition, development of sustainable cities, and the EXPO2027 project, and expressed their desire for Serbia to become part of the European market as soon as possible.
After the Business Forum, bilateral meetings were held between Serbian and French businessmen.
